ILRU has developed a variety of publications on independent living
subjects, including a technical report series; monographs outlining
the implications of health care reform for independent living; ADA
resource materials available in both English and Spanish; directories
of independent living centers and of independent living support
materials; and handbooks providing background information on the
independent living movement and on establishing and operating an
independent living center.
In addition, a
number of resources and useful links are available on the ILRU Web
site. Among those resources are posters depicting people with
disabilities as active and productive members of society; audio-visual
products on different versions of independent living programs and
on rural independent living, frequently asked questions on the ADA
and disability law; a 704 reports database; resources and useful
links on Olmstead implementation; and resources on technology for
independence.
