Home is Where the Care Should Be

Age-friendly care should be available to everyone across all settings as we age. That includes where people live, whether that’s in a house, assisted living or nursing home. A variety of resources are available to better understand and expand home-based services, improve resident experiences in care facilities and strengthen community support to help people age well, wherever they call home.

This morning, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) shared the news that Alison Barkoff will leave ACL in early October. Alison will join George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health as the Harold and Jane Hirsh Associate Professor of Health Law and Policy and director of the Hirsh Health Law and Policy Program.
