CIL Helps Disability Community After Hurricane Ian
In July 2023, the Center for Independent Living Gulf Coast (CIL Gulf Coast) hosted a community rebuilding event with over 100 individuals in attendance to help Gulf Coast residents with disabilities impacted by Hurricane Ian receive assistance including providing durable medical equipment including wheelchairs, scooters, portable ramps, shower benches, employment and lost wages assistance, home repairs, resources for insurance deductibles and much more.
The Office of Independent Living Programs (OILP) is working to compile information on how Public Health Workforce funding is being utilized as a resource in developing programs for Centers and we would love to hear from you!
