Join Able SC, Independent Living Research Utilization and the Partnership for Inclusive Disaster Strategies as we unveil our new Disability Vaccine Access Opportunities (DVAO) website and toolkit. 

This toolkit will serve as a guide for Centers for Independent Living (CILs) across the nation in providing critical services to people with disabilities before, during, and after public health emergencies. Trainings will be available over the next eight months to assist CILs engage with and build coalitions within public health.

The DVAO Center was established in 2021 with grant funding from the CDC Foundation to further vaccination access and uptake for people with disabilities. The center provides training, resources and support to disability-led centers for independent living (CILs) to ensure equitable access to vaccines for people with disabilities.

The Disability Vaccine Access Opportunities Center was supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of a financial assistance award totaling $5,767,023.00 with 100 percent funded by CDC/HHS.
