Phil Pangrazio is the President & CEO of the Arizona Bridge to Independent Living (ABIL), one of the largest IL Center’s serving people with disabilities in the U.S. with a budget of $32 Million. Pangrazio oversaw the planning and construction of the Disability Empowerment Center of Arizona that opened in 2008 and has become shared office space for ABIL and 10 other non-profits devoted to serving persons with disabilities. He also led a fundraising effort to raise $12.7 million to build the Virginia G. Piper Sports & Fitness Center for persons with disabilities. Pangrazio is a Board member of the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL). A quadriplegic and wheelchair user for over 30 years, he was honored in 2010 with the Martin Luther King Jr. “Stand up for Justice, Living the Dream Award” by the City of Phoenix. He earned a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Arizona State University.
